Just outside of the community of Ridgecrest California, lies miles upon miles of trails with too many historical locations to count. One trip we visited the Nadeau-Magnolia Mine. This old gold mine is a short drive up a non-remarkable canyon just of Highway 14, but the mine has been preserved in a state of suspended decay by volunteers throughout the years. The mine was in use early to mid century 1900’s. There’s a well collapsed mine shaft, several structures in remarkable condition and a ton of old, beautiful equipment. It’s well worth a quick trip if you are in the area. These were all shot with an old Panasonic DMC-FX3 point and shoot.
